CHNLSYNC is a US technology brokerage. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We're a small company in beta, and we'd rather be straightforward with you than hide behind boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, email will@chnlsync.com and a person will answer.

What we collect

When you apply for early access, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, company, company website, what you need help with, and your timeline. We also receive basic request metadata that comes with any web submission: things like your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. That's the normal plumbing of the web, and we use it for operating and securing the site, not for building a profile of you.

We only ask for what we need to evaluate your application and help you. If a field is optional, it's genuinely optional.

What we use it for

Three things:

• Reviewing your early-access application.
• Contacting you about the beta: your application, your seat, and updates that affect you.
• Providing brokerage services if you become a client.

That's it. We don't use your information for anything unrelated to CHNLSYNC.

Using the Sync advisor

Sync is our AI advisor for technology buyers. When you use it, we collect the environment details you choose to share so it can actually help you: your sites and locations, your current providers and vendors, your contract or renewal dates, and the pain points or goals you describe. We also store your chat messages with the advisor and the text of any documents you upload — for example, a bill or contract you share for review. You decide what to share. The more context you give, the more useful the advice, but nothing beyond what you type or upload is required.

Your advisor data is encrypted at rest

The details that identify you and the free text you share — your company and contact information, your messages, the environment notes we build from them, and the text of documents you upload — are encrypted at rest in our database and in our backups. Where that data is stored, it sits as scrambled ciphertext, not readable text.

Only a human reveals suppliers and pricing

This is a deliberate design choice, and it exists to protect you. The AI advisor never names a specific supplier and never quotes pricing on its own. Supplier names and numbers reach you only after a human broker has reviewed your situation and discloses them through a recorded approval step. You get the speed of AI research with a real person accountable for every recommendation — and no black-box system quietly steering you toward one vendor.

When an AI assistant uses Sync for you

You may reach Sync through your own AI assistant — for example, an assistant that consults Sync on your behalf while it researches options for you. When that happens, we create a provisional workspace to hold the conversation, and you can later claim that workspace to bring it into your own signed-in account. The same protections apply the whole time: your identity and free text are encrypted at rest, and the advisor still never reveals suppliers or pricing without human review.

We do not use your data to train AI models

Your conversations and documents are used to help you — not to train AI models. The Sync advisor is powered by Anthropic's Claude API, which does not train its models on the data we send through it. We do not sell your data (see below), and we do not hand it to anyone to train their models on it.

Services that help us run CHNLSYNC

We use a small number of service providers to operate. Your data may pass through or be stored with:

• Vercel hosts this website.
• Resend sends our email.
• GitHub stores application records.
• Attio is our CRM, where we track applications and client relationships.
• Anthropic provides the AI processing that powers the Sync advisor product.
• Clerk handles sign-in and account security for the Sync portal.
• Cal.com schedules calls when you book time with a broker.

Each of these processes data on our behalf to run the service, not for their own marketing. If this list changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Our business is brokerage. Suppliers pay us when you buy through us, so we have no reason to monetize your data, and we don't.

Please don't send us health information

The service is not designed to handle protected health information (PHI). Do not submit PHI through our forms or in conversations with the advisor. If you work in healthcare and aren't sure what's safe to share, keep it to business and technology details. That's all we need.

How long we keep your data

We keep application data while it's relevant to the beta, so we can review your application, contact you about your seat, and pick up where we left off if you become a client. We keep your Sync advisor data — your environment details, conversations, and uploaded documents — for as long as we need it to provide the service and as required by law, so the advisor can remember your environment across visits. If you'd like any of it deleted sooner, just ask and we'll delete your workspace and its contents on request.

Your choices

Email will@chnlsync.com at any time to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. No forms, no hoops. A plain email is enough, and we'll confirm when it's done. This applies wherever you're based, we won't treat you differently for asking, and we don't share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top of this page.
